Make the most of the AUTMQ's resources!
AUTMHQ UPDATE Hola and Hello! Memorial Day is a time when we pay tribute to those who fought for our country. The ultimate purpose is to honor the brave women and men who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Approximately 1.2 million American soldiers have died in war throughout our country's history (source: PBS.org). Therefore, as we remember and honor, we want to highlight some important facts that you probably didn't know. DID YOU KNOW that the United States military has played a key role in technological innovation? The most vital one is the Internet! While Al Gore is sometimes credited with inventing this technology, the truth is that the United States military spent decades perfecting the software that makes the internet work. The same is true for furthering your education; thanks to technological improvements, you may now access online resources to improve your skills, broaden your knowledge, and, as a result, obtain a better job in the most popular sector, which is technology. Austin Forum Event: Stabilizing and Decarbonizing the Texas Grid with Computation and Bitcoin
Renewable carbon-neutral generation is now the least expensive means to produce electricity in the world. In West Texas alone, we can produce terawatt-hours of power through wind turbines and solar panels. The question is no longer how do we generate sustainable energy, but how do we leverage its power efficiently and economically. [...] During this presentation, we will cover electrical grid basics and how bitcoin mining can be used as a variable and controllable load to stabilize the grid, thus making renewable energy generation more profitable and efficient.
