AUTMHQ UPDATE
Hola and Hello, At Austin Urban Technology Movement (AUTMHQ), we don’t just talk about movement, we are the Movement, and we want you to be part of it. That means engaging you in the social, political, and economic components of the Movement. This week’s newsletter, and future newsletters to come, will be dedicated to highlighting ways you can get involved and stay engaged in AUTMHQ’s movement towards diversity, equity and inclusion in the technology industry. We all have a part to play and AUTMHQ is dedicated to plugging you in. One way we plug you in is by making tech events more accessible. For example, earlier this month AUTMHQ invited you to the Applied Intelligence Live conference, offering a discount code that allowed you to attend for FREE. Our Autmites made several connections and some of them even made the news! Another way to get plugged in to the Movement is to volunteer. If you would like to become an AUTMHQ volunteer, your timing is impeccable! There will be a volunteer meeting tonight (see newsletter for details) where you will learn about the many ways AUTMHQ volunteers can assist Autmites, whether that be through job placement, career development or building social capital. Can't make it tonight? No problem! Volunteer meetings happen monthly and you can sign up to volunteer using the link below.
As we approach Digital Inclusion Week (Oct. 2-7), AUTMHQ encourages you to recommit yourselves to our Movement towards diversity in tech, digital equity and inclusion. Check out the rest of our newsletter to see how you can get involved and help us make meaningful strides in the Austin Urban Technology Movement.
Sincerely,
The AUTMHQ Team
