AUTMHQ UPDATES
Hola and Hello!
I'm particularly happy to announce that Austin Urban Technology Movement (AUTMHQ) has had a strong start to the year. Not only do we have major events coming up, but we are also working on our annual report for 2022, and the results are looking great! In addition, we are planning some improvements to make the enrollment process easier for our AUTMites. It's worth noting that everything we're doing is because of our partners and supporters, and it's all with our AUTMites in mind. If you want to be a part of the AUTMHQ movement, please fill out this form. You can get involved with our mission by volunteering, donating, mentoring AUTMites, and, of course, signing our Texas Technology for All petition to help provide broadband access to all Texas residents! And while we're on the subject of events, if you're an AUTMite or want to learn more about our organization and the services we offer, the best way to meet us is at one of our events. We will be holding two FREE digital literacy workshops in English and Spanish in the near future, as well as our first-ever in-person Day in the Life by AUTMHQ at the Slalom offices. We also support many other partner events to ensure that you have access to the resources you require. You can RSVP in this link. Finally, we are hard at work on the 2023 edition of ReThink Austin! This year's event appears to have a lot more exciting surprises! NASA, Harvard Business Publishing, and a variety of other technology companies were among the guest speakers at Rethink Austin 2022. Check out our video above!?? Please let us know if you'd like to become a sponsor here!

DEI Tech Gaining Ground At Foundations
There is positive movement when it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts when it comes to technology teams at foundations. New data also shows areas that need improvement. Data from the Technology Association of Grantmakers, based on polling of 277 U.S. foundations, shows that more technology teams are receiving DEI training. The number of organizations offering no training decreased from 37% to 21% in 2022, with 30% of private foundations offering no DEI training to staff in technology-related roles.
The data is compiled and explained in the recently published report “2022 State Of Philanthropy Tech.”
